I am using Autocad 2004. My office currently uses Eagle Point for civil
design work, but are attempting to switch over to Land Desktop. I am the
guinea pig charged with learning the program to determine if it will fit our
needs. One thing which use freqently in Eagle Point is the "merge surfaces"
command, but I can find no analogous command in Land Desktop. For example,
I've got two proposed buildings side by side. The cut slopes of the
excavations overlap between the two buildings. Land Desktop (actually Civil
Design) will happily build me cut surfaces based on grading objects, but I
see no way to combine the two surfaces to create one single surface. Hence
my volumes are not correct due to overlapping cuts. Is it possible to merge
two surfaces using either Autodesk Map, Land Development Desktop, or Civil
Design? How can I determine where two surfaces intercept each other?

Thanks

Dave

Found it:

Terrain --> Edit Surface --> Paste Surface.
